Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 7, 2026

This policy explains, in plain English, what information we collect when you visit deckhoss.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.

What We Collect

Information you give us. When you fill out our contact form, we receive what you enter: your name, phone number, email address, city, and a description of your project. Form submissions are delivered to our email inbox by FormSubmit, the form-delivery service we use, and we may enter them into Buildertrend, the project-management software we run our business on, to manage your project.

Analytics data. Like most websites, we collect basic information about how the site is used: which pages you visit, your device and browser type, your approximate location (such as city or region), and the site that referred you here. This data is collected in aggregate and doesn't personally identify you.

How We Use It

We use your contact information to respond to your inquiry, answer questions, and schedule consultations — that's it. We use analytics data to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it.

Google Analytics and Cookies

We use Google Analytics to collect the analytics data described above. Google Analytics sets cookies — small files stored in your browser — to recognize repeat visits and measure how the site is used. You can learn more about how Google handles this data at Google's Privacy Policy.

We Don't Sell Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We only share it with the service providers needed to run this site (such as FormSubmit, which delivers our contact form, Buildertrend, which we use to manage projects, and our analytics services), or if the law requires it.

How Long We Keep It

We keep contact form submissions as long as we need them to respond to you and manage your project, and for our normal business records afterward. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' standard retention settings. If you'd like us to delete your contact information, just ask — see the contact details below.

Your Choices: Opting Out and Managing Cookies

  • You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings — look for “Cookies” or “Site data” under Privacy settings in Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge. The site will still work without them.
  • You can opt out of Google Analytics across all websites with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
  • You can always call or email us instead of using the contact form.

Children's Privacy

This site is intended for adults looking for deck-building services. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information through this site, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
